Before we get started drawing. Draw lightly outlines. This will make it easier to erase any mistakes once all the lines look good to you, then they can be drawn darker. Follow the easy instructions to get perfect drawing.

Step-by-Step Instructions for drawing a cake

Step 1– Begin by drawing the upper part of the cake with two small marks far apart from each other.

Step 2– Now connect the two points together using curved lines to make a thin oval /foreshortened circle. The shape of the cake so far should be a very thin oval on its side.

Step 3– Draw the sides of the cylinder with two vertical parallel lines from both dots as shown in the illustration.

Step 4- Connect bottom of the cake with a curved line.

Step 5- complete your cake by decorate it with small circle on the above and below edge of the cake to be as a cherries or you can replace it with strawberry.

Step 6– In the middle of the cake draw the candle by repeating only the 4 steps but with a thin, long rectangle. You can put more candles if you'd like.

Step 7-draw the flame by drawing an almost half circle. Then draw a A-shaped line above it with a little curved on the left to show the flame swinging in the direction of the wind.as shown in the example below.

1-clean the your cake drawing by removing the excess pencil lines and go over your drawing with a darker stroke so that you have a nice and clean drawing. Or you can lighten the outlines of the cake as I have done in the example below with an eraser

–  Before coloring the cake. We need to learn a simple way to color by understanding the colored pencil techniques.

You can note that in the example above that one pencil can gave you more than one color to shade and light.

Colored pencil is not like paint: you can't just add more color to the tip when you want it to be darker.

Because of this, your main tool is the amount of pressure you use to apply the color. It is always best to start a light coloring so that you can control the amount of color to avoid ruin your artwork.

1- Add some stripes to the candle using a yellow. if you want the stripes to look more realistic you can give it some wave lines as shown in the example below.

This gives the candle a three-dimensional appearance.

2- Draw a dark shadow in between the cheery this will help identify the depth between them.

3-Don't forget to leave a few small highlight on the cheery it is an amazingly touch to bringing your cake drawing to life. If you drawing digitally you can make the highlighting by add the lighter color in over top of the basic color.

4- Draw a circle around the flame with a yellow pencil to create the firelight of the really fire.
